Ottawa, ON, January 1, 2011 — The partners of the Federal Science eLibrary (FSeL) cluster are pleased to announce the successful negotiation of licence agreements with Canadian Science Publishing (operating under the brand NRC Research Press) and the American Chemical Society.

These agreements mark another milestone in the FSeL's efforts to establish a collaborative, government-wide process for negotiating access rights to scientific, technical and medical (STM) e-journals.

Effective January 1, 2011, all researchers, policy analysts and decision-makers in the departments of the FSeL cluster have access to the entire e-journal collection of Canadian Science Publishing and the Web Editions collection of the American Chemical Society. Access to these high-value, authoritative information resources will foster innovation and support informed policy-making. This success strengthens the FSeL's cross-government process for negotiating access rights to STM e-journals.
